Ministry Activities, 2016-2017

NPC friends of ECMI continue to work with local ECMI-New Hope board members and ECMI partners Vienna Presbyterian, Reston Bible, and Heritage Presbyterian to expand contacts ECMI has in the Washington, DC area. Some of these activities will take place in private homes or at the churches. Anyone at NPC interested in assisting ECMI with expanding its Washington, DC network is invited to contact ECMI supporters at National Presbyterian .

NPC mission program participants on March 17, 2017 met with ECMI US Director George Brown (left photo, third from left) and Bulgaria Director Dimitrie Todorov and his wife Maria (left photo, at right and 2nd from right). The group discussed ECMI’s work with churches in Bulgaria, with Mideast refugees, and with the organization’s fundraising strategies in the US and Europe.
 
George Brown, Roman Matviyiv (Ukraine Staff), and Tinu Leontiuc (Romanian Staff) visit the NPC Library on September 26, 2016 and provide an update on ECMI activities for John Turpin and other participants in NPC’s mission program. Afterwards NPC missions volunteers hosted the ECMI staff for dinner at a local restaurant. In July 2016, NPC agreed to support an ECMI proposal from Dimitrie Todorov for an assistance project for Mideast refugees he had developed for southern Bulgaria.

The three talked about ministry activities in their respective countries, and about how they were enjoying working with ECMI in a new ministry framework.
